For scale, the top of Kennel's rack is just over 7 ft. (2.13 M). That old live oak shading Kennel, covered in Spanish moss, must be at least 50 ft. (15 M)!

Appalachian Trail Approach, Amicalola Falls State Park, Dawsonville, Georgia

I swear to you, the first time I saw Ingles, I thought it was an ironically named Hispanic foods store. The "American Owned" sign only confirmed it.

You still see old-fashioned cabins and shacks in the Blue Ridge, but this guy's house is a fun caricature. Even his street sign says, "Hillbilly Place"!

Northbound Leaf Watchers, Mountain View, Georgia

The Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains further north are being swarmed with leaf watchers heading north on 441 from Atlanta. That line of cars was solid all day!
